Who am I?

Hi! I'm Wildeye Art, a.k.a. Caitlin - I'm a neurodivergent, queer artist based in Perth, Scotland. I                          discovered art at a young age, which helped me express my internal struggles as I was going through a prolonged period of mental illness, and I haven't let it go since! From then I went on to the University of Cumbria, graduating in Fine Art in 2021.

Since arriving on the professional scene in 2021, I've worked on a variety of projects. From aiding in a research project investigating the accessibility of creative courses at university, to my current ongoing role as a freelance creative practitioner at a local social enterprise, supporting and enabling young people to get into the creative industries and positive creative destinations. My interests lie in working in the community, supporting people, and sharing the freedom creativity has given to me.

My creative work leans towards confessions, focusing on my emotions and life experiences. Text appears a lot in my work, as I not only believe that imagery is an art, but that language is as well. I would say I'm a contemporary artist and focus on the message or feeling I'm trying to convey more than the media, picking the media I feel works best for what I want to do. I am open to doing commissions and have a regular body of work available to sell, so please don't hesitate to get in touch regarding anything like that.  Also, if you would like to talk about working together, or if you have a specific project you would like to propose, please do not hesitate to contact me! :)
